Part 2

Following on from lasts years critically acclaimed Riding the Stang, we are again collaborating with Hull Community Theatre on a folk opera set in 1890’s Holderness. The show will take us through the agricultural calendar from Hiring Day in Hedon at the end of November and continue until the following years Harvest.

We have already spent hours of research in an attempt to make sure the events and times are portrayed as authentically as possible.

The folk-opera is set in 1893 in and around Holderness and, some of the events portrayed actually took place in Hedon.

The show features songs, some of them collected from the Holderness area and, like last years Riding the Stang, the full area of the church will be utilised.

The show forms part of UK Heritage week.
